On March 27, hundreds of health and emergency professionals from Southern Colorado will come together for St. Mary-Corwin’s 10th Annual Wilz Trauma Symposium. Join us to hear keynote speaker Peter Rhee, MD, MPH, Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Section of Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.
The event is designed to sharpen your skills, deepen your insight and give you the tools you need to provide superior patient care. This year we celebrate five years of Flight For Life's air ambulance service in Southern Colorado, and 10 years of St. Mary-Corwin's dedication to presenting this educational trauma symposium to EMS, nursing, physician and other trauma experts in our region. The 10th annual symposium is approved for CE and CME.
In addition to the keynote address, the event will feature presentations from the following local and regional experts in trauma care: Steven L. Moulton, MD, FACS, Trauma and Burn Program Director at The Children's Hospital and Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine; Charles Mains, MD, FACS, Medical Director of Trauma Services at St. Anthony Central Hospital; Joshua Goldberg, MD, Associate Medical Director at the Burn - Trauma Intensive Care Unit at the University of Colorado Hospital; Nate Hinze, EMT-P, Duane Rorie, EMT-P and Pam Frantz, RN, BSN of Flight For Life Colorado.

Dr. Bill Wilz
The Wilz Trauma Symposium was started by the medical staff and associates at St. Mary-Corwin, and members of the Wilz family. It was created to honor Dr. Bill Wilz, who served as St. Mary-Corwin’s trauma director until his death in 1999.
