What happens during the Sleep Study?
When you arrive, a Sleep Disorders Center staff member will review your health history, sleep habits, and prepare you for your sleep study. Electrodes and sensors will be applied to your head, face, and other areas to allow the technician to monitor you while you sleep. There are also video and audio recorders in the room for additional monitoring ability. The procedure is painless and non-invasive, but it is time consuming. You will arrive at 7:30 pm and the study will end the following morning at 6:00 am. If you need to arrive late or leave early, please inform the staff and this can be arranged.
Instructions for Sleep Study

You will then receive a packet of information with all the instructions you will need before your appointment. You may also call the Sleep Disorders Center any time at 719-557-5462. If you don't reach a staff member, kindly leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. The sleep study will be an outpatient procedure, although you will be staying overnight.
