Pain Management at St. Mary-Corwin
Joint pain can be debilitating and may be one factor in a patient's decision to undergo a joint replacement. However, it is important to remember that there may be pain after surgery as well. The St. Mary-Corwin Joint Replacement Center's team works with each patient to help with pain management. At St. Mary-Corwin we believe that all patients have the right to have their pain managed throughout their recovery process.
When trying to gauge a patient's pain level we use a pain scale that ranges from 0-10. On the scale, 0 means a patient has no pain and 10 means a patient is in the worst pain possible. Our team works to understand the severity of a patient's pain and then makes the necessary adjustments to make each patient more comfortable.
