The Reverend Roger Patrick Dorcy Cancer Center

When you are faced with a serious illness, we are here for you and your loved ones.

As a full service Cancer Center, The Reverend Roger Patrick Dorcy Cancer Center at St. Mary-Corwin serves Pueblo & Southern Colorado with comprehensive cancer care.  Our broad spectrum of services includes cancer screenings and prevention, early diagnosis from our oncology specialists, varying treatment options and support services. Our continuum of care spans before, during and after cancer.

We are proud to offer advanced radiation therapy, national research for prevention and treatment through clinical trials, genetic counseling and symptom management. These services, combined with modern technology and compassionate cancer care professionals, make us the most comprehensive Cancer Center in Southern Colorado.

Accredited by the American College of Surgeons, we are known for our expert oncology professionals, state-of-the-art diagnostic services and equipment, and utilization of the latest cancer resources and treatments.  The Dorcy Cancer Center also contains a cancer resource library that serves as a community resource for cancer topics, and is a dedicated LIVESTRONG™ Survivorship Center of Excellence.

Cowboys Kickin' Cancer Night at the Colorado State Fair 

Cowboys Kickin’ Cancer Night at the Colorado State Fair will be held on Monday, August 31 and supports the Dorcy Cancer Center’s patient needs fund.  Tickets are $23 each and can be purchased from the state fair box office or through Ticketmaster. The tickets include gate admission, the PRCA rodeo performance, a BBQ dinner provided by Texas Roadhouse, and all of the fun and excitement of the live and silent auction.  The evening begins with cocktails at 4 pm with the BBQ dinner and auction at 5 pm.  For more information, please download the event brochure for Cowboys Kickin' Cancer, visit the Colorado State Fair website, or call 719-557-4547.

Friends of the Cancer Center

At the Dorcy Cancer Center, we dream of a day when fewer lives are affected by cancer.  It's a big dream, but we've built the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art cancer center in Southern Colorado to help us reach it.  Through the St. Mary-Corwin Health Foundation, you can be part of making that dream come true by joining the Friends of the Cancer Center.  Your membership will support the purchase of needed equipment and beneficial education programs for patients and families.

The St. Mary-Corwin Foundation honored The Reverend Roger Patrick Dorcy posthumously when the hospital’s Board of Trustees and Foundation Board announced that the new cancer center would be named in his honor in November 2005.

Our patient care coordinator, Yvonne Doria, assists patients with resources available in the community.  She will work with you, your physician and support services to ensure seamless coordination of care throughout your outpatient radiation therapy treatment. Southern Colorado Prostate Center

The Southern Colorado Prostate Center offers state-of-the-art treatment for prostate cancer including radioactive seed implants, High Dose Rate (HDR) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).  For more information, call 719-557-5525 or 1-800-228-4039, ext. 5525.
