  • Laparoscopic technology (visualization of internal organs via a telescope inserted through a small abdominal incision) is routinely used for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Laparoscopic techniques may be utilized to remove the gallbladder, appendix, for hernia repair and other procedures.
Shock waves are used for the non-invasive treatment of kidney and ureteral stones. This treatment may eliminate the need for more invasive surgery to relieve the patient of the symptoms of kidney and ureteral stones.
Image guided surgery is a highly sophisticated, state-of-the-art navigational technique that offers three-dimensional computerized anatomic visualization that assists the surgeon in pin-pointing the exact operative site. It may be used in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and ENT surgery.
The da Vinci® Surgical System’s advanced level of technology takes surgery beyond the limits of the human hand. It enables highly magnified visualization inside the body and greater precision while making it easier for surgeons to operate using small incisions.
