  • St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center believes in the power of expertise.

    Our highly-trained and experienced surgeons provide a broad range of minimally invasive da Vinci robotic procedures including women's health and general surgery. As the first robotic surgery programs in the southeastern Colorado area, St. Mary-Corwin and these world-class providers have quickly become the local authority in a variety of minimally invasive robotic procedures.

  • Dr. Gary LaneDr. Gary Lane is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in robotic-assisted surgery. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA in 1987, Dr. Lane completed his medical degree in 1991 from the Finch University of health Sciences Chicago Medical School.  He then completed an internship and residency at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals in Saginaw, MI. Outside of the office, Dr. Lane and his family enjoy snow skiing, and riding and showing horses.
    Dr. CastelliDr. Castelli received his undergraduate degree with honors from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, before graduating from medical school at the University of Tennessee where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in 1997. Dr. Castelli completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2001. He practiced in Tennessee for eight years before moving to Pueblo in 2009. Dr. Castelli has been board certified since 2003 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Outside the office, Dr. Castelli enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, running, and spending time with his family.

    Dr. Fernando MahmoudDr. Mahmoud relocated to Pueblo from Chicago, IL, where he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Mahmoud earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. In 2003 he was granted a scholarship for postgraduate training in reproductive medicine and biology at the School of Medicine of the University of Geneva in Switzerland.

    Dr. Mahmoud is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Argentinean Society of Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment. Dr. Mahmoud is married, has two children and enjoys outdoor activities.

    Dr. Stephen WassingerPrior to coming to Pueblo, Dr. Stephen Wassinger was in private practice for ten years in his hometown of Grand Island, Nebraska. Dr. Wassinger received his BS in Biology from Creighton University and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Outside of his office Dr. Wassinger enjoys exploring Colorado with his family.
    Dr. Amy Yuan

    Dr. Amy Yuan was born in China but spent most of her childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va., and completed her residency for Obstetrics and Gynecology from the TriHealth Good Samaritan and Bethesda North Hospitals, Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, snowboarding, music, photography, delicious food, and traveling. She loves the sunshine, fresh air, and mountains that Colorado has to offer and is excited to continue her journey in this great state.
