  • Dr. Brandon GreenDr. Green has a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in New York. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. and was chief resident his final year. He focused primarily on sports medicine during this time. He then went on to complete an ACGME accredited fellowship in interventional pain management at Texas Tech University, one of the premier pain management programs in the world. Dr. Green is fluent in Spanish and has lived in seven countries.
    Dr. Divakara KedlayaDr. Kedlaya established the outpatient pain clinic and management program at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center and currently serves as the part-time medical director of inpatient rehabilitation for St. Mary-Corwin. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Medical Specialties, with four subspecialty board certifications in electrodiagnostic medicine, pain medicine, spinal cord injury medicine, and neuromuscular medicine. He is the only physician in Pueblo with subspecialty certifications in spinal cord injury medicine and neuromuscular medicine. Dr. Kedlaya has contributed to numerous research projects and publications. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
    Dr. Mallikarjuna NallegowdaDr. Nallegowda is the co-medical director of inpatient rehabilitation at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a subspecialty board certification in pain medicine. A graduate of the Bangalore Medical College, Dr. Nallegowda completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Nallegowda completed a second residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Loma Linda University Medical Center and an ACGME accredited pain medicine/interventional pain management fellowship at the University of Michigan. A contributor to several research projects, Dr. Nallegowda has received numerous awards for his work.
    Rose WertzRose Wertz, who has 35 years of experience working in pain management and palliative care, has been working with Dr. Kedlaya since 2008. Ms. Wertz has developed and implemented patient education programs; several pain protocols; and instructed and led trainings on pain and symptom management, home care, and hospice. She established the palliative care program at St. Mary-Corwin and serves on several teams, including the St. Mary-Corwin Pain Task Force. Ms. Wertz is certified in hospice and palliative care and holds a master's degree in nursing from Colorado State University-Pueblo.
    Chafonta WhatleyChafonta Whatley is an acute care and family practice nurse practitioner who has worked in the Physician Partners Pain and Rehab clinic treating chronic pain since 2015. Chafonta has ten years of nursing experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science degree at Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colo. She holds two national board certifications with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an acute care nurse practitioner and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family practice nurse practitioner.
